Muskogee Football Players to Watch

Dontierre Fisher – Checotah

A solid athlete that has five D-I football offers, is a threat to score whenever he has the ball. 

Khelil Deere – Eufaula

Khelil has some really great ball skills, good hands, and has quick speed. An exceptional character who comes in every day with a great attitude and ready to work.

Cole Mahaney – Fort Gibson

A three-year starting quarterback for the Tigers who has thrown for 3,000 yards his first two seasons will be a bigger factor in the running game this season.

Zane Craighead – Gore

Zane has taken over the leadership role going into his senior year with big expectations entering 2021. He became the starting quarterback last year when the starting quarterback injured his ACL. 

Brannon Westmoreland – Haskell

Brannon enters his second season as the starting quarterback. Tall and athletic, he has a strong and accurate arm. He’s becoming a good leader of the team and is taking control of the offense. 

Brayson Lawson – Hilldale

Brayson is a game changer and will have to take almost all the reps on defense and offense. He has been making some huge gains in the weight room this spring.

Jance Welch – Keota

A great athlete that can make a big play at any time. The captain of the offense, he plays a major role in our success on both sides of the ball.

Cody Galliton – Midway

He is a stout physical kid that has a motor on him whoruns a 4.6 40 time. Cody is a sponge on the field, soaking it all in and wants to know more.

Isiah Givens – Muskogee

A great kid on and off the field, Givens is a hard worker and a great teammate. A game changer on both sides of the football

Kolby Brown – Porum

Kolby is a very good athlete that is very strong and moves well for his size. He has started on both sides of the ball since he was a freshman. Offensively he is a fourth year starter, a very powerful runner and capable of explosive runs. On the defensive side he has a good eye for the ball and makes good solid tackles. 

Morgan Jones & Jace Winkle – Stigler

Morgan is a versatile athlete with a nose for the football. He has made a name for himself as a playmaker that can take it to the house in a hurry. Jace is the epitome of an athlete. His six foot four inch 215 pound frame allows him to do many different things on both sides of the ball. 

Xavin Lackey – Vian

Lackey is a great student and a solid two way player. He has D-1 offers including Iowa State, Memphis, and others.

Fred Watson – Wagoner

Fred is one of two returning starters from a state shampion team. A tremendous, explosive athlete with great speed, he will also be one of the featured running backs this fall. 

Mason Jim – Warner

A two-time VYPE Top 100 choice, Mason has a chance to eclipse the 4,000 yard mark. He is a hard worker and a great kid.

Maddux Shelby – Webbers Falls

A three sport athlete, Maddux is a tough hard nosed football player. He is a very good ball carrier and a good passer, he is also a very knowledgeable football player. 

Okmulgee Football Players to Watch

CJ Brown – Beggs

CJ has committed to Oklahoma State. His strength, balance, and speed make him difficult to bring down. Through three years, CJ is averaging nine yards per carry and nine yards per catch.

Thomas Brownfield – Dewar

One of the biggest playmakers returning from last year’s state championship team, Brownfield is always around the ball defensively. A great athlete with great speed.

Alex Hudson – Henryetta

A versatile player that can be a tough matchup for opponents. 

Erik Macklin – Morris

A hard working kid who never complains and leads by example. He is a weight room warrior and holds teammates accountable. Erik has good size and speed. 

Rowdy Williams – Okemah

Williams is a very hard worker on and off the field. He is a great teammate and is a respectable young man.

D’Mari Harp – Okmulgee

He has worked hard to be able to have an opportunity to be a college football player.

Isaac Drake – Weleetka

A hard-nosed freshman talent who will make an immediate impact on both sides of the ball.

Jordan Osborn – Wetumka

Jordan is the team’s returning quarterback and leading returning rusher. On defense he was the interception leader last season. 

Ryder Herring – Wilson-Henryetta

Ryder is always looking to become a better athlete and player. He sets the pace for his team.

Tahlequah Football Players to Watch

Walker Eaton – Hulbert

Walker is a young man that works on football year round going to camps and even gets personal one-on-one instructions from some great coaches. 

Parker Sinclair – Keys

Parker is a big problem for opponents. Big and strong, he can dominate the line of scrimmage.

Ethan Richards – Stilwell

Ethan led the team in receptions last year who also started at cornerback late in the year and came on as a solid defensive back. 

Eli McWilliams – Tahlequah

Committed to the University of Tulsa, Eli came on really strong in the 2020 season. He is a great young man that works very hard at being the best he can be.

Eli Hammer – Tahlequah Sequoyah

Very athletic and knowledgeable about the game of football, Hammer has the potential to be a great leader able to command the team as he gains experience.

Denton Bruner – Westville

Bruner will be a four year starter on both sides of the ball and has played all the positions on the offensive line. He is a verbal leader but also leads by example.

Sallisaw/Poteau Football Players to Watch

Garrick Caldwell – Heavener

His size and athleticism makes him a tough matchup for opponents. Garrick does whatever is asked and gives it full effort.

Trenden Collins – Muldrow

Collins is a play maker that has the ability to change the game at any time on both sides of the ball. Other teams have to game plan for where he is on the field.

Bryson Honeycutt – Panama

Bryson is a leader that shows up everyday with an eagerness to get better. Everything he does makes everyone around him better.

Garrett Scott – Pocola

As a freshman, Scott was named District Newcomer of the Year. He is a great kid and and equally good football player. Looking forward to a solid season. 

Dean Odom – Poteau

A three year starter at tight end, he is a devastating blocker who sets the edge for much of the offense. Dean was the leading tackler last season at linebacker, and had one game with 23 tackles. 

Ashton Peters – Roland

An overall great kid, Peters is the kind of kid that every coach wants on their team.

Rylee Scavo – Sallisaw

An exceptional athlete and a team leader on and off the field, Rylee has had a great off-season in the weightroom enters this season with high expectations.
