Oktaha’s Hunter Dearman – York Street Tire Athlete of the Month

Following a move to the leadoff spot in the batting order, Hunter Dearman has become a game changer for the Oktaha Tigers in their rise to the number-1 ranking in Class A baseball by starting the season with a 22-0 mark.
“Hunter has been a big contributor in the lineup, at the plate as well as defensively,” said Tigers coach Kevin Rodden. “He’s always been solid with the bat in his hand but his defensive consistency has been a key for our team results.”
The utility infielder, now a three-year starter, plays second base, shortstop as well as takes his turn on the mound. Dearman holds the top batting average on the team (.495) including 21 RBI and scoring 25 runs during the 22-game win streak.
Still in his junior season, Dearman has verbally committed to play baseball at Seminole State College.
