3 Rivers Area Players to Watch, Unsung Heros, and Underclassmen to Watch – Presented By Road Track and Trail



CHEER

MVP

Sydney Terry – Fort Gibson
Sydney is always smiling whether it be at practice, on the sidelines of a game or walking down the high school halls. She does whatever needs to be done and is a great role model for the underclassmen. 

Honey McAlister – Gore
Honey is the main flyer on the squad and is not afraid to try any stunt, she trusts her bases and other team members to take care of her while in a stunt. Anytime someone has a cheer question she is the one they look to for an answer, big or small. 

Gillian Murphy – Hilldale
Gillian is the epitome of a team player. She not only has amazing techniques and leadership skills, but she is also a tremendous cheerleader with fine tuned skills and abilities. She is selfless and always what’s best for the good of the team as her main focus and goal.

Harley Handle – Keys
Harley is the kind of athlete everyone would want on their team. She is always eager to do everything. She is dependable and has a great attitude in all situations. She is kind to everyone and will step up to try new stunts as a flyer newby.

Christalynn Green – Muskogee
Christalynn has been a part of the Muskogee Varsity Cheerleading team for the past three  years. Her work ethic, grit, hard working and caring attitude is unmatched. She truly cares about the teams she cheers for and the school she represents. Most importantly, she cares about her team and their success. 

Lana Cannon – Roland
Lana is a senior captain for the 21-22 cheer team. She was a member of the Ranger cheer team that placed 5th overall in the OSSAA Game Day Competition out of twenty-four teams, and also received an OSSAA Academic achievement award. She has maintained all A’s as a student athlete and is currently ranked second in her senior class. 

Britlee Fagan – Tahlequah Sequoyah
Britlee is a senior and has been a Sequoyah cheerleader since her freshman year. Britlee stood out among her peers when the team attended a summer cheer camp. She assisted the coaches and led as a mentor for the new members of the team. We are looking forward to what Britlee will accomplish this year.

Britley Butler – Wagoner
Britley returned to cheerleading this year after taking last season off. She is an excellent tumbler, she has amazing jumps and she is one of the best bases around. She is willing to do whatever I ask and she has a great attitude.

Sierra Duncan – Warner
Sierra is a team player. She comes to practice everyday ready to lead the team. She always brings a positive and uplifting attitude to all events and practices. She is constantly pushing herself to accomplish her individual goals.




UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH

Adrianna Arnold – Fort Gibson
Arnold is a great all around kid and an equally solid teammate.

Kendra Huckbay – Gore
Kendra works hard and is always ready to help her team.

Addison Whitford – Hilldale
Always having a great attitude, Addison is a key member of the Lady Hornets squad.

Jaylyn Callaway – Keys
No matter what is in front of her, Jaylyn is always ready to tackle every test. 

Kaitlynn McGee – Muskogee
McGee is an outstanding cheerleader and always gives it her all.

Brooklyn Hallbauer – Roland
Whether on the sideline or in competition, Hallbauer is always prepared to do her job.

Harlie Smith – Tahlequah Sequoyah
Harlie has worked hard to get to where she is today. She never gives up.

Elizabeth Menees – Wagoner
Elizabeth cheers on the Bulldogs and is a good representation of her school.



Unsung Heroes

WRESTLING

MVP

Colby Garrett – Hilldale
Colby has dedicated everything he has, never missing a practice and always giving everything he has without complaining. He is a leading example of how an athlete should work.

Jacob Wolf – Muskogee
Jacob Wolf is a senior and won the Doug Rial Tournament last year and had a strong showing at Regionals. Jacob was 17-7 in 2020-21.

Luke Brooks – Poteau
Luke Brooks was a State Placer at 182 pounds. as a freshman. Luke looks to improve from last years success, and make a run at a State Title.

Trey Hudgens – Sallisaw
Trey is a two time state qualifier for the Black Diamonds. He possesses a great work ethic in all aspects of his life.

Xander Torix – Warner
Xander is a returning State qualifier with an 18-6 record last season. He is a Junior and looking to repeat a State qualification this year. He is a great young man and is hoping to wrestle in college. 



UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH

Mason Dempsey – Hilldale
This is Mason’s first year at Hilldale but he has been wrestling for about six years now. He is a very skilled wrestler and  looks to have a big season.

Peydon Seibert – Warner
Peydon is a hard worker and is looking to take a big step forward this season.



Unsung Heroes

Kenan Adams – Muskogee
Adams is a great kid and teammate that is always ready to do whatever it takes to help the team.

Caden Warren – Poteau
Caden was a State qualifier last season at 152 pounds.

Cole Mayfield – Warner
Always working hard, Cole gives his best at all times.
