CLASS OF 2022 – WELL DONE

Since beginning your Vian journey 12 years ago, the class of 2022 has been destined to do great things. Despite encountering challenges that no one could have predicted, the members of this year’s senior class have continuously proved their talents and stand ready to face the future with confidence to succeed in life. In addition to their individual resumes filled with awards through extra-curricular activities, five seniors have maintained a 4.0 GPA or better to earn Valedictorian honors including Cason Wright, James Thornton, Isabella Garrison, Fysher Brooks and Kayden Anderson. They have earned recognition for their top academic achievement as well as Hailie Brake who earned Salutatorian honors. Altogether, 56 seniors will receive their diplomas during the pomp and circumstance of graduation ceremonies on Friday, May 20th beginning at eight o’clock at St. John Stadium.  Congratulations Seniors 2022…you’ve done things right…the VIAN WAY!

TWICE IS NICE

Vian wrestling has added two more names to the school record books as Taya Hunt and Avery Richey completed their 2022 competition with undefeated records and winning state championships in their respective weight classes. Hunt exchanged last year’s silver medal for the top prize while wrestling at 138 pounds as a junior this year posting a 19-0 record including her three wins on the state competition mats.  Richey, a bronze medalist last year, made short work of her opponents to claim the gold medal at 126 pounds to cap a perfect sophomore campaign posting a 26-0 ladder of success.  Wolverine wrestlers are coached by Alvie Killingsworth and Rhett Leach.
