OFFENSE

Second year coach of the Outlaws, Tristan Garringer, wants to see his team improve upon last season and make a push toward a deep playoff run in 2022. He wants his team to be physical and control the line of scrimmage enough to set up play action opportunities from their double tight, two back variant set. Isaac Drake (6-1, 190, So.) will take over at quarterback going into his sophomore year. Drake is an explosive athlete and playmaker. As a freshman he was a force on both sides of the ball and was a 1st Team running back in Class B. Robert Hutchins (6-1, 210, Sr.) joined Drake in receiving 1st Team honors and will return for his senior season at tight end and on defense as a pass rusher. J.R. Robertson (5-10, 190, Jr.) will handle the majority of carries this season after racking up 700 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2021. Caden Farrow (5-10, 220, Sr.) is an elite pulling guard and Jonas Manley (5-7, 140, Sr.) and Waylan Bales (5-11, 160, So.) combined for almost 1,000 yards from scrimmage and had 13 touchdowns together.

DEFENSE

The Outlaws have a lot of

familiar faces playing on defense. Farrow and Manley both were recognized as 1st Team All-District 8 player last season. Farrow had 34 tackles and forced three turnovers. He’s a master at utilizing his incredible strength that helped him become a state champion powerlifter. Manley was a nightmare for quarterbacks as he picked off four passes and had 36 tackles. Drake couldn’t get enough of the endzone on offense and managed to pick off two passes as a defensive back and scored one touchdown to add to his season total. Hutchins had 44 tackles and two sacks from the defensive end while Bales had 24 tackles and two interceptions in the secondary. Robertson made 2nd Team All-District with 58 tackles while forcing four turnovers. The Outlaws will look to run a 3-2 base defense with the intention of playing fast and physical on every down.
