Girls

Coach: Kyle Ward

21-22 Record: 6-16

The combination of athleticism and length will make the Lady Haymakers tough to score on while the basketball skills will allow coach Kyle Ward’s lineup to put more than their share of points on the scoreboard. “This is an extremely competitive group, most of which were part of the state tournament qualifying softball team. They know what it takes to compete for a win,” said Ward who has been at Haskell for 21 years and enters his second season as head coach. “Team chemistry is a plus because they enjoy being around each other and are willing to do whatever it takes to make girls basketball good.” Lynzi Kelly (5-5, Sr.) brings proving scoring with a 15 point per game career average enters her fourth year in the starting lineup.

The leadership of a trio of seniors including Brilee Boutwell (5-4, Sr.), Mariah Arterberry (5-6, Sr.) and Myla Tate (5-8, Sr.) have the basketball IQ to create game changing results on both ends of the court. The game changing talents of two-year starters Raylin Morgan (5-10, Jr.) and Saylor Brown (5-9, Jr.) have the ability to take over a game on both ends of the court. Ward is also excited about the anticipated impact of Riley Westmoreland (6-0, So.), Layla Markou (5-4, So.) and Hayden Ward (5-4, So.) to bolster the depth of this year’s roster. Five freshmen including forwards Akeeleigh Anderson (5-7, Fr.), Deanie Stafford (5-7, Fr.) and Cheyanna Morgan (5-9, Fr.) plus guards Kindall Sanders (5-6, Fr.) and Natalie Deckard (5-4, Fr.) will also play into the rotation of play
