Keys’ Maggie Carter – Cheer Spotlight – Presented by Stuteville Ford

Maggie Carter is a determined and dedicated member of the Keys High School cheer squad. Currently a junior, she has been cheering for five years and has become a valuable asset to her team.

For Carter, her teammates are more than just people she cheers with, they are her family.

“My teammates help keep me motivated, and we always try to encourage each other,” Carter said.

One of Carter’s favorite things about being a student-athlete at her school is the opportunity to support her teams at most of the games and being a part of pep assemblies.

“Maggie is a great asset to our team, she has come a long way,” Keys head coach Denise Snyder said. “She is always ready to cheer for our teams and loves trying new stunts.”

When she’s not cheering, Carter can be found playing soccer with her friends. She has honed her cheering skills over the years and has become particularly good at being loud and perfecting her back basing skills.

This school year has been filled with memorable moments for Carter, including the pyramid they performed at cheer camp, the early morning wake-up calls for competitions in Oklahoma City, and learning new stunts.

Carter’s dedication to her team and her love for the sport of cheerleading is evident in all that she does. She is a true team player and a valuable asset to the Keys High School community.
