Warner Cheer – Team Spotlight – Presented by Countryside Estates

Like many other cheer squads around the state, Warner High School’s cheer team is prepared and ready to take the field for some Friday night football and turning some of their attention to the state cheer competition. Head coach Corie Nichols said this team is goal oriented and she is looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish this season.

“I just love this team! We have four seniors, four juniors, four sophomores and five freshmen. Each one brings something special to the team,” said coach Nichols. “I am constantly impressed with their perseverance whether it is tumbling, sideline or competition practices. They have set their goals and work hard every day to accomplish them.”

Last season the Warner cheer squad competed at the state cheer competition and finished just a few points shy of making the top five. This season, under the leadership of four motivated seniors, Warner is hoping to find a place on the podium.

One cheerleader to watch is Sierra Duncan. Coach Nichols said Duncan is the ultimate team player.

“She comes to practice every day ready to lead the team. She always brings a positive and

uplifting attitude to all of our events and practices. She is constantly pushing herself to accomplish her individual goals,” said coach Nichols.

Coach Nichols is quick to point out that there are several girls on the squad who approach each and every game or practice in the same manner.

The roster features Karlee Hart, Sierra Duncan, Hope Moses, Chloe Bishop, Mattie Berry (not pictured), Lizzie Stretch, Madison Dilley, Alexis White, Karolyn Baker, Karaline Hart, Raylee Wiedel, Rachel Moses, Jensyn Foreman, Shelby Yarbrough (not pictured), Taytam Doyle, Jaylin Hopson, Lexi Chesser, Allison Todd, Kylee Stephens, and Kenadie Teague (not pictured).
