Okmulgee Area Football Editor’s Choice
QB – Knox Dyson – Beggs
With vision, arm strength and a quick release, Dyson gives Beggs offense the ability to stretch the field with the passing game
RB – Red Martel – Beggs
With the ability to run between the tackles and then change direction to go to boundary, Martel is tough to bring down before reaching the end zone.
WR/TE – Davon Johnson – Okemah
A do-it-all athlete, Johnson makes good use of his size and strength as a blocker but has the sure handed skills to catch the ball in a crowd and extend drives or drag tacklers to the end zone.
OL – Kaden Stanton – Beggs
Big, strong and athletic only begins to explain why the Golden Demons lineman continues to draw D-I college coaches’ attention. His “smart” plays in the trenches powers the running attack while building a wall in pass protection.
DL – Chance Jordan – Beggs
With size and strength, Jordan rips through opposing blocker to consistently make tackles behind the line of scrimmage that last year included 17 quarterback sacks.
LB – Erik Macklin – Morris
A two-way starter for the Eagles, Macklin has the physical strength and agility to stop the run as well as the quickness to cover boundary-to-boundary in pass coverage.
DB – Isaac Drake – Weleetka
The captain of the Outlaws secondary, Drake robbed opposing quarterback by making pass interceptions and the quickness to chase down opponents in run defense.
