Weleetka Outlaws Boys Basketball Preview – Presented by Mabrey Bank

Boys

Coach: Cory Pitts

21-22 Record 6-17

The Outlaws will be a very young team this season, but according to head coach Cory Pitts, they are an athletic group with a high ceiling. “This group has a great chance to bring back the Outlaw tradition that the community has gotten used to over the years. The key early will be getting our basketball legs under us and understanding the new system after a long football season. This group has high expectations and backs them up with a great work ethic,” said coach Pitts. Terran Pitts (5-11, Jr.) is an excellent shooter and ball-handler. Last season he averaged 14 points a game and will be one of the leaders on the team.

Kalen Putman (5-10, Sr.) is another hard-working player the Outlaws will look to this season. Putnam is well-liked by his teammates and he gives everything he has for the team. JR Robertson (5-10, Jr.) will play guard where his mid-range shooting ability will be a key to the overall success of the team this season. Robertson is a strong rebounder and a tough player. Isaiah Drake (6-1, Fr.) is an exciting young player who keeps everyone in good mood. Drake could crack the starting lineup. Other players to watch this season are Jonas Manley (5-9, Sr.), Isaac Drake (6-1, So.), Waylan Bales (5-10, So.), Jeffery Manley (5-10, So.), Aaron Fisk (5-9, So.), Conner Brownlee (5-9, So.), Cate Noon (5-9, Jr.), Logan Spencer (5-10, Jr.), Bryant Sites (5-10, Fr.), Mario Harris (6-1, Jr.), and Isaih Hicks (5-9, Sr.).
