Eufaula Ironheads Boys Basketball Preview – Presented by Bank of Eufala

BOYS

Coach: Jeff Oliver

21-22 Record: 16-7

Despite losing the bulk of last year’s offensive production to graduation, the Ironheads remain a competitive and hard to defeat squad this season anchored by the play of two seniors as returning starters. Jake Parish (6-1, Sr.) and Riley Morgan (6-3, Sr.) will join forces with Talon Weaver (6-2, So.) and Landon Mills (6-4, Jr.) this season while surrounded by a young but solid group of freshmen including Keaton Parish (5-11, Fr.), Jentry James (5-6, Fr.) and Ledger Folsom (5-6, Fr.) who step into the bright lights of varsity play. Eufaula gets a boost from the talents of move-in Jaxon Lange (6-2, Jr) along with LB Colbert (6-0 Jr.), Ashjon Lunceford (5-11,Sr.), Jace Davis (5-11, So.), Dacen Hunter (6-0, So.), Chandler Cook (6-2, So.) and Dresden Chiles (5-8, So.).

The impact of a solid group of freshmen who went undefeated last year will also strength the depth of this year’s roster. “We are hoping to be a very strong defensive team as we find our offensive rhythm,” explained head coach Jeff Oliver, whose teams have earned 66 wins the past four seasons combined. “Rebounding will be our key to success. We must commit to the boards at both ends of the floor.”
