VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Steven: It would be the fact that I get to show that, even though Heavener HS is a small 3A school, we are still full of amazing, great, and talented athletes/students!
VYPE: What has been your favorite sports memory?
Steven: My favorite sports memory would have to be from when I ran a time of 17:18 for xc in regionals as a freshman.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Steven: Riley Randall is the guy who inspires me because he is a fantastic athlete with amazing running time and I hope to reach his level someday.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Steven: It for sure would have to be Elijah Cook. The only reason I am the athlete I am today is because of his great sportsmanship and he really gave me someone to chase down during practice!
VYPE: What does family mean to you?
Steven: To me, family is more than just someone related to you, I consider someone with whom I have grown a strong bond with my family. In my case, I have two families, one at home and one on the track.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Steven: I’ll help around the house by cleaning around, feeding animals, and spending time with my girlfriend.
VYPE: What do you see yourself accomplishing in the next 5 to 10 years?
Steven: I can see myself competing in college and after college, owning my own little business, and continuing to do what I love and run year long.
VYPE: Do you have any hobbies outside of sports?
Steven: No I don’t unless you consider sleeping a hobby.
VYPE: What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Steven: Always give it your all, that being sports, work, or any other activity because The Lord is always watching!
