Vian Wolverines: CLASS OF 2023 – JOB WELL DONE – Presented by Vian Dental Clinic

As the senior class crossed the stage at Vian High School, they leave a legacy of continued success in academics, athletics and many other areas. The 56 members of the graduating class moved their tassels as they received their diplomas having earned the opportunity to open the doors to the future with a road map to opportunity and continued success. Ranking at the top of this year’s graduates are Valedictorians Olivia Yoder and Elijah Stewart and Salutatorian KaLee Kolbe.

OLIVIA YODER

OLIVIA YODER – Moving to Vian in 2019, Olivia is a three-year member of the National Honor Society as well as actively involved in Gifted and Talented, Academic Team, Student Council, Spanish Club and Yearbook. She received the Masonic Lodge Student of Today award and was part of Joy Hofmeister’s Oklahoma Student Council. Having completed 24 hours of college credit, Olivia will attend Oklahoma State University in the Honors College for Engineering.

ELIJAH STEWART

ELIJAH STEWART – was voted Most Likely to Succeed by his classmates. A four-year member of the Student Council, Elijah was this year’s president. A three-year member of the National Honor Society and four years involved in Spanish Club, he has already earned 24 hours of college credit through concurrent enrollment at Carl Albert State College. Number 21 for the Wolverines, Elijah was a valuable member of the basketball team. He will attend Northeastern State University.

KaLEE KOLBE

KaLEE KOLBE – a Wolverine for life, KaLee has attended Vian schools from the start. A member of the National Honor Society, FFA and Spanish Club, she was a varsity cheerleader for four years. As a two-year Yearbook staff member, KaLee has completed 12 hours of college credit through Carl Albert State College. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith and will major in Nursing.


WOLVERINES – OKLAHOMA’S BEST

The tradition of Vian athletes being part of “Oklahoma’s Best” continues as a trio of 2023 seniors have earned postseason accolades. DeSean Mays, was selected to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Football team and will take his talents to the college gridiron on scholarship at Harding University. Diego Ramos was named to the Oklahoma Native All-State baseball team and will take his skills to the next level on scholarship at the University of Arkansas. Taya Hunt, the first Vian female to win gold on the wrestling mat earned her All-State honors and will continue her wrestling career at Carl Albert State College.
