As a junior standing tall at 6’2″ and weighing 250 lbs, Caden Cowan is making a name for himself on the football field at Gore High School. Known for his dedication and hard work, Caden’s journey in football has been one marked by determination and a passion for the game. 

Caden’s favorite coach, his stepfather Coach Hawkins, played a pivotal role in introducing him to the sport. “He was the one who got me into football.”

Caden also holds his older brother, Caleb, in high regard. They played together for two years, and Caleb’s influence on Caden’s growth as an athlete is evident. “He always pushed me to be better,” Caden shared, highlighting the invaluable support and motivation he received from his brother.

Reflecting on his academic journey, Caden expressed his admiration for Mrs. Sharp, his former English teacher. She left an impression by teaching him not to take everything too seriously, a lesson that extends beyond the classroom and into everyday life.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Caden focused on maintaining peak physical condition. He invested time in running to ensure that he would have the endurance required to excel while playing both offense and defense.

Caden highlighted the discipline instilled by football and its relevance to his daily life. “Football has taught me a lot of discipline,” he said. “It has helped me in my daily life to always work hard at what I’m doing and to never complain.”

Looking ahead, Caden has ambitious goals. He aspires to lead his team to another state championship and to continue honing his individual skills. The matchup he’s most eager for this season is their game against Central, expected to be a tough challenge. 

Beyond high school, Caden aims to play college football, with a potential interest in coaching in the future. With his passion and unwavering determination, Caden Cowan is undoubtedly a name to watch at Gore High School.
