IRONHEADS TEE IT UP AT STATE
Eufaula boys’ golfers were among the field of teams competing for the Class 3A boys’ team title where the Ironheads made the best of the 54 holes of play to earn a Top 10 place on the team leaderboard at the conclusion of two days of play at Lakeview Golf Club in Ardmore. Justis James paced the play on the scorecard joined by teammates Slade Williams, Jacob Parish, Alex Parish and Riley Morgan.
Continuing the tradition of Ironheads girls’ golf at the state tournament, Gracie Lassiter used her talents to reach the Class 3A girls golf tournament played at Lake Murray golf course. The Eufaula sophomore, competing as an individual, finished among the top 30 scorers. Jared Efurd coached the boys and girls teams this season.
IRONHEAD STRONG
Anchored by strength and technique, 2022 senior Ty Dodd claimed silver medalist honors in competition at the Oklahoma Football Coaches Powerlifting Association Championships. Dodd totaled 1345 pounds in the three events including squat, bench and deadlift. Dodd will continue his athletic endeavors playing college football at East Central University in Ada. Larry Newton Jr. coaches Eufaula’s powerlifters.
