Oklahoma AgCredit FFA Spotlight – Kadie Jo Tidwell – Eufaula

Kadie Jo Tidwell of Eufaula first joined FFA when she was in the eighth grade. It was her father who encouraged her to join. Now entering her senior year and a member of the softball team. Tidwell said she is looking forward to making the most of every opportunity FFA and athletics will give her this year.

“I enjoy getting to meet new people and build relationships with people all over the state,” Tidwell said. “I am a chapter officer; I also enjoy doing public speaking. I love going to any camps and conventions that are available for me.”

As a member of the softball team, Tidwell plays multiple positions and said she loves being around her teammates.

“I have played fastpitch and slow-pitch softball every year of my high school career. I am so blessed to have the teammates that I do. We all bond together during the season and become a family. My favorite part about my teammates is the energy that everyone brings to practices, games, and even bus rides,” said Tidwell.

Also a member of National Honor Society, Tidwell said she plans to attend college and work with animals for her career.

“I plan on going to Connors State to finish my basics then go on to get my medical degree for equine chiropractic.”

Tidwell offers this piece of advice to anyone interested in FFA. “The biggest piece of advice I would give to a student thinking about joining the FFA is to jump right in. You must get in where you fit in and cherish all the great lessons that this organization has to offer,” said Tidwell.
