The sound of the whistle blowing during preseason drills indicates that Tiger basketball is set to return and the 2023-24 lineup will deliver plenth of excitement in the final score results. Head coach Todd Dickerson, who has been part of the Fort Gibson boys program for over two decades will have a solid mix of experienced upperclassmen joined by some proven winners among the younger athletes wearing the red and white uniforms. All five starters return to the court led by Blane Scott (5-11, Sr.) who tops the lists of contributors after last season after totaling 12.3 points and 4.8 rebounds last season.

The front-line efforts of Cooper Wicks (6-3, Sr.), Karl Garrett (6-3, Sr.) and Ryker Thornbrugh (6-2, Sr.) will provide a strong inside force on both ends of the court. Adding to the Tigers defensive and scoring prowess will by Isiah Cones (5-10, Sr.), Cooper Crawley (6-0, Jr.) and Connor Smith (6-2, Jr.). Dickerson was eager to acknowledge the anticipated benefits resulting from the play of six underclassmen including Connor Lindsey (6-1, So.), Nolan Sherl (6-0, So.), Trapper Walker (6-0, So.), Ky Murrell (5-10, Fr.), Cooprt Hackett (6-7, Fr.) and Brody Scott (5-8, Fr.) who will all move up from the championship 8th and 9th grade teams into the varsity gym spotlight.
