Fort Gibson Tigers Boys Basketball Preview – Presented By David Kolb Of State Farm

Boys

Coach: Todd Dickerson

21-22 Record 21-6

The Tigers enter this 2022-23 season seeking to draw up their winning tradition and knowledge of what it takes to be successful when it counts the most as Todd Dickerson puts together his lineup for the upcoming campaign. The youth of this year’s roster will require Fort Gibson to find its leader as Dickerson will rely upon the experience factor and shooting touch of Blane Scott (5-11, Jr.), the only returning starter who connected on 44-percent of his three-point attempts last season.

The leadership and athleticism of Karl Garrett (6-3, Jr.) will be important early on as the Tigers rotation of players develops. Perimeter scoring from Cooper Crawley (5-10, So.) and the hard-nosed defensive energy of guard Simeon Adair (5-8, Jr.) will be invaluable in the clutch. The versatility of Cooper Wicks (6-3, Jr.) will give Fort Gibson the ability to score inside and out as well as bolster the front-line rebounding efforts off the glass on both ends of the court while Ryker Thornbrugh (6-1, Jr.) sets the tone with a physical presence inside. “Looking at our roster its easy to see this group is young and inexperienced still yet they’re a tireless group with talent,” Dickerson said. “They’re used to winning and with their commitment to achieve success, we can be playing our best when it matters most by the end of the year.”
