The three time state qualifier proved his talents on the wrestling mat by winning the gold medal at the Gulf Shores Tournament over the holidays. A senior on the Tigers lineup card, Johnson proved to all competitors that he was worthy of the event’s top seed at 144 pounds by winning all four matches including a pair of pin fall victories to claiming the gold medal and being voted as the Most Outstanding Wrestler. 

The two-time state placer with back-to-back fourth place finishes at the OSSAA state championships (2022 and 2023), Johnson also finished third at the Cushing Invitational as well as a silver medal second place result at the Chuck West Tournament in Bristow to continue the 2024 portion of the Tigers wrestling schedule with an 18-3 record to push his career mark to 119-25.
