Muskogee

“Gentle Giant makes college choice” sponsored by Tommy Nix Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Muskogee

As the 2023 football season approaches thoughts of college ball fill the minds of Rougher seniors and one of Muskogee’s gentle giants, lineman Wesley Harvey, has opted to get the noise out of the way early and has committed to play at Texas Christian University next year.

Harvey had offers from several offers from Division I schools including TCU, Tulsa, UNLV, Pitt State, UCO, and Houston to name a few but in recent days had narrowed that choice to TCU and Houston.

“I was looking for a school with family atmosphere that was lineman-friendly,” said the 6-8, 280-pound Harvey.

Wesley and his Rougher teammates will get the new football season underway on August 25 as they host Enid at Rougher Village.
