Even though the outlook for the 2023 campaign will include a young roster, the
Lady Bulldogs believe that their time is now. “We only have three seniors this fall
and only a couple of juniors,” said head coach Brian Edwards. “Couple those kids
with the other young ones, we still have a roster that has proven talent with a good
IQ of the game.” Among the pool of playmakers, Wagoner will have three game
changing performers including Tylen Edwards (INF/C, So.), Jalyn Fourkiller
(OF/INF, Jr.) and Juliana “Goose” Hutchens (C/INF, Fr.) that will give the Wagoner
coaches choices to secure their defensive options as well as firepower at the plate.
Ranked in the top ten nationally as a corner player, Edwards returns to the lineup
where she will provide a consistent glove playing at first or third base as well as
behind the plate at catcher. Last year, Edwards crushed nine home runs while
producing a .525 batting average and earning All-District honors. Another of the
returning players in the starting lineup, Fourkiller enters the 2023 campaign coming
off a .400 batting average a year ago and can fill the need at an infield or outfield
position. There’s plenty of talk from opposing coaches regarding “Goose”, who is
described as a wall behind the plate at catcher and a vacuum cleaner with the glove
when playing third base. Already ranked number-2 nationally, Hutchens is a power
hitting lefty that will drive the ball in the gaps in addition to going yard. Last year,
Hutchens crushed 22 home runs. Edwards is optimistic about the talents of Zoie
Griffin (P/OF, Fr.) who will be the ace in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs that can run
it up with plenty of velocity as well as command multiple pitches and will
consistently put the ball in play as a hitter. Both Hutchens and Griffin were key
performers in 2021 when Oklahoma won the Little League World Series
championship. Kendra Condict (INF/P, Jr.), a two-year starter returns to the
diamond to give coach Edwards added experience in the circle as well as at first
base while providing power at the plate. The Bulldogs youth will be a plus due in
part to the contributions of freshmen Maya Renshaw (UTL) and Kenzie Fourkiller
(P/INF). The energetic pair will add to the defensive depth on the field as well as
with their bats.

Wagoner coaches expect to build depth in the lineup with the efforts of Aaliyah
Goodvoice (INF, Sr.) Emma Otto (P, Sr.), Lynzi Romine (OF, Sr.), Larisa Mitchell
(INF/Jr.), Kayda Barnett (OF, Jr.), Kiwi Birdtail (UTL, So.), Sayer Newberry (INF/P,
So.), Adryen Cocker (INF/OF, Fr.), Jaziah Pierce (INF, Fr.) and Paizley Romine (OF,
Fr.).
“By grade level, you have to consider us a young squad but by experience in game
situations, we’ve got a seasoned lineup,” said Edwards. “Virtually every one of our
players competed on the travel ball circuits at a high level.”
