The Muskogee Roughers football team is ranked No. 2 or No. 3 in Class 6A-II depending on
where you look. The Roughers have a roster full of players like O’Shea Stevenson who some
of the best players in the classification.
Not only is Stevenson an important member of the football team, he is also a member of the
FFA chapter at Muskogee High School.
“I joined FFA my freshman year, I was so excited to learn all the amazing things about FFA.

My friends were the reason I got invited because they showed pigs,” said Stevenson.
During his time in FFA, Stevenson has experienced more than the average student.
“Something I like is the leadership and how everyone is so unique. Over the course of two
years, I have participated in activities such as, livestock judging, cattle grading, speech
contests, and wildlife and plants,” said Stevenson.
Now a junior at Muskogee, Stevenson said he plans to continue showing his swine, while
playing football and competing with the track team.
“Another school activity I am involved in is the track team, I throw shotput and discus. As of
this fall, I will be a junior and when it comes to plans after high school, I pray that I am
blessed with a football and Ag scholarship so I can pursue my degree in agribusiness and
farm and ranch management,” said Stevenson.
Like his football teammates, Stevenson is focused on making this a great year on the
gridiron.
“I love the trust, brotherhood, and life lessons. I also participate in track and field which
builds my mindset and leadership. I love how no matter what the circumstance is that we
always push through and find triumph,” said Stevenson.
The junior said he has his father and others to thank for his current and future successes.
“My father and family friends are the biggest influences on me. Growing up around them
has taught me how to carry myself and build an amazing reputation,” said Stevenson.
