Everyone knows there is nothing tougher than a rougher. That holds true for the volleyball team under the leadership of head coach TeAna Tramel. Coach Tramel said this group of girls understands what hard work means and they are willing to put the time in to get better every day they hit the court.
“This year’s Roughers are one of the hardest working groups I have had the pleasure to coach. We are putting an emphasis on working hard, doing things the right way, and competing. The strides we have made so far should carry well into the fall and we will continue to learn and get better every practice every match,” said coach Tramel.
One of the best middles in the area, Alexis Rodriguez, is back this season and looking to leave her mark on the program.
“Alexis is quick to the pins and has a work ethic like no other. She is a true leader on and off the court with potential to play at the next level,” said coach Tramel.
Rodriguez is joined on court by the team’s libero in Maddi Havens.
“Maddi is our senior libero and leader on the court. She works hard day in and day out. She excels on the court and off. Her ball control and ability to read hitters and go all out on defensive is impressive,” said coach Tramel.
Other players to watch this season include Reagan Essex, Khloie Doughty, Bailee Liv and a host of athletes who look to play major roles on the team this season.
