Muskogee’s Addison Moffett – Cheer Spotlight – Presented by Neighbors Building Neighborhoods

Addison Moffett is a sophomore at Muskogee High School who has been cheering for six years, four of which have been with the school team and two in competitive cheer.

Moffett’s favorite aspect of cheerleading is tumbling and the friendships she has made through the sport.

For Moffett, her teammates are more than just people she cheers with.

“My teammates are people I can count on to talk to,” she said. “All of them have helped me in many ways. At the end of the day, we are not just teammates but a family.”

Being a student-athlete at Muskogee High School is something that Moffett cherishes.

“Being a student-athlete keeps me involved,” Moffett said. “I love being in the atmosphere at games and the support from our fellow students at all the games.”

Moffett excels in tumbling, which is something she enjoys the most. However, she is working to improve in other areas, specifically stunting. She watches and learns from others and tries new techniques to improve her skills.

“Addison is one of the younger leaders on the team, but brings so much energy and light to practice,” Muskogee coach Kyah Fields said. “She loves her school, team, and community and is the true definition of a cheerleader!”

After high school, Moffett hopes to continue her cheering career at the collegiate level. She is considering studying business as her major, and she is currently in the early college high school program. Her favorite subject is math.
