Fast as fast can be…you can’t catch Lee….
The defending state champion in the Class 6A 300m hurdles, Deriayah Lee continues to race past the competition this spring as the Muskogee senior has won the gold medal in nine of ten events with a second-place finish in her only other hurdles competition.
In the opening weeks of competition, Deriayah remained undefeated in the 300-meter hurdles posting her fastest time of 45.29 at Claremore while also winning gold at the Tahlequah, Union, Bartlesville and Booker T. Washington meets. Lee has also won four gold medals in the 100-meter hurdles and at BTW posted her fastest time of 15.72.
A senior at Muskogee, Lee is also adding to the depth of the Roughers girls team strength and speed by running with her teammates in the 4x100m, 4x200m and 4x400m relay foursomes.
