Muskogee football head coach Travis Hill has been named the 2022 Tulsa All-World Coach of the Year, and Roughers’ players Brandon Tolbert, Jayden Bell, Jamarian Ficklin and Ondraye Beasley have been chosen to the All-World Honorable Mention team.
In his second season as head coach at Muskogee, Hill guided the Roughers to a 10-2 mark and Class 6A-II semifinal appearance.
Tolbert, who has signed with the University of Central Oklahoma, was a standout on both sides of the ball in his final season. As a running back, he totaled 545 yards, averaging 7.9 yards per carry, with four touchdowns. Tolbert, who was recently named an Oklahoma Coaches Association Class 6A East All-Star selection as a running back, also finished with 14 receptions for 335 yards and three TDs. As a linebacker, he recorded 129 total tackles, including 16 tackles for losses.
As a wide receiver, Bell finished with 29 catches for 557 yards and four touchdowns in his final year with the Roughers. On defense, Bell tallied 43 total tackles, five interceptions and 11 pass breakups as a cornerback. Bell joined Tolbert as an OCA 6A East All-Star selection.
As a sophomore quarterback, Ficklin completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 2,803 yards and threw for 38 touchdowns. Ficklin also had 308 rushing yards and six touchdowns.
Beasley was one of Ficklin’s top targets at wide receiver. He finished with 31 receptions for 515 yards and four touchdowns.
