HOMECOMING FIT FOR A QUEEN
The celebration and activities surrounding Homecoming 2022 was picture perfect as Vian senior Lyndsey Christie was crowned as Queen by her escort Gage Carlton. Other members of the royalty court included seniors Nicki Stoner who was escorted by DeSean Mays and Hallee Risley escorted by Nick Scoggins. The junior attendant was Madison Ross who was escorted by Nathan Creasey. Sophomore attendant Kaylee LaMar was escorted by Cash Collins and freshman attendant Halli Russell was escorted by Riley Ellis. Also adding flair to the festivities were crown bearer Kody Richardson and flower girl Ryan Garrison. The final score, another win by the Wolverines, 53-13 over Roland made Homecoming 2022 a total success.
SPIRIT OF THE WOLVERINES
In the school hallways, on the football field sidelines and throughout the community, Vian cheerleaders set the standard of Wolverines school spirit. The 2022-23 squad includes seniors
Kenzie Bockover, Lyndsey Christie, Alli Farrar, Kaylin Ford, KaLee Kolbe, Hallee Risley and Nicki Stoner along with juniors Kloey Kisselburg, Brianna Rodgers and Madison Ross. Sophomores Isabella Clouse and Kaylee LaMar join freshmen Ali Cornelius, Ayden Crittenden, Aubrey Gant, Halli Russell, Averey Smith and Rayleigh Terrill on this year’s team coached by Jordan Taylor and Tabby Davis.
CHASING GOLD
As the leaves change their colors, the Wolverines set their sights on the Class 2A postseason. The Class 2A-5 district race will have Vian playing on the road three of the final five games of the regular season.
