Wagoner’s Lynni Lancaster – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Oklahoma AgCredit

Lynni Lancaster

Wagoner High School

It was in the 8th grade when Wagoner High School junior Lynni Lancaster first joined FFA. It was an older sibling who encouraged her to join the chapter.

“My older brother Walker was an FFA member, and I couldn’t wait to be in it too,” said Lancaster. My brother does well in school and is on the Connors shooting team. He is a hard worker and just an all-around good person.”

As a member of the chapter, Lancaster said she has enjoyed all of the activities FFA has to offer.

“I like all the competitive activities that you can be involved in. I am on the Vet Science and Cattle grading teams; I also show sheep. In the past I have been on the livestock judging team, horse judging team and shooting team. I plan to rejoin the shooting team next year, I miss it,” said Lancaster.

Lancaster enjoys showing her sheep. One is a Dorset Advantage and the other a Hamp. She’s also an officer in FCCLA, National Honor Society and is a member of the varsity cheer team.
“I love going to summer cheer camp at Marval Resort in Gore. Our entire team went on a float trip,” said Lancaster.

The junior believes anyone interested in FFA should give it a try.

“It is a great opportunity for any student and the friendships you make are priceless. I have friends all over Oklahoma because of FFA,” said Lancaster.

After high school Lancaster plans to go to college and become a teacher or a veterinarian.
