Traydon Doty
Dewar High School
In his first year as an FFA member, Dewar High School football player Traydon Doty said it was a coach who encouraged him to join the Dewar chapter.
“This was my first year. Coach Furer encouraged me to join,” said Doty.
Now a sophomore, Doty said there were many things he enjoyed about FFA and is looking forward to the coming year.
“What I enjoyed most was the people. I was involved in cattle grading and land judging,” said Doty.
A running back and linebacker on the football team, Doty said he would like to become a veterinarian one day.
He offers this advice to any student interested in becoming a member of their local FFA chapter.
“Do it! It’s fun and it can give you life skills that you can use for the rest of your life,” said Doty.
Look for Doty this year as the Dragons take on a challenging schedule during football season.
