Okmulgee Area Cheer and XC Players to Watch – Presented By Excel Therapy

CHEER

Jillian Remington and Rowdy Tucker- Beggs – are both senior captains. They plan the game days, routines, cheers, send and make material videos, mentor, participate in
everything and help plan pep rallies and school events. They also set academic examples with their grades, attendance, and involvement.

Mabrey Been – Henryetta – She makes sure that cheer is a top priority and gives it her all in everything she does. When she is asked to do something, she doesn’t hesitate to do her best.

Calvin Warren – Morris – He was the first male cheerleader at Morris High School. He plays football and cheers. His skills are out of this world. He has grown into a strong leader for the squad. He builds everyone up and pushes the squad to become the best they can be.

Mikayla Cobb – Wilson – She takes them time to help serve her peers and her community through the BETA leadership club. She is the picture of a leader.

Boys Cross Country

Jeremiah Hughes – Beggs – He is a fun kid to be around and has placed in recent meets.

James Hawkins – Mason – As a sophomore, he has a bright future ahead of him.

Esiah King – Wilson-Henryetta – He works hard on the football field on Friday nights and wakes up early to compete in meets on most Saturday mornings. Esiah
has medaled in every meet, with great timing, and he continues to push himself in
practices and in meets. He is as outstanding of a student as he is an athlete.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Chasity Clay – Beggs She has a competitive spirit and is fun to be around. She is a great character kid.

Kenleigh Kaler – Henryetta– She is coming off a state appearance at the state track
meet in the 800 meter. She is a sophomore and has a bright future in both sports.

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH
Cheer

Kai Mitchell – Beggs – Kai has a bright future as a cheerleader and a lot of potential. She is definately one to watch for big things to come.

Hailey Lewis – Henryetta, – She has stepped into positions and pushes to meet her goals. She does not give up and makes sure that she will do whatever it is that needs to be done to get her there.

Brook Nixon – Morris – She works hard and is rising to the challenges of the upperclassmen. Brook is dedicated to cheer and gives everything she has.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Mason Byers – Beggs – Mason is young and eager to learn. He is new to cross country, but willing to train in order to be more competitive.

Trent Lopez – Okemah – He leads the varsity team with practices and earning medals this year. Trent is a runner to watch as the season progresses and his goal is to qualify for the State Meet this year.

Andrew Wilson -Henryetta Wilson Andrew is a quiet, sneaky threat. He understands how to pace himself and knows how and when to explode right by the runners around him.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Aniah Lazo – Beggs – Aniah works hard and strives to do her best. She gets along well with her teammates.

Camrynn Watkins – Henryetta – Camrynn is a freshman who has a bright future in cross country as she grows in the sport.

Callie Coon – Okemah – She’s laying a foundation by earning overall winner of the Wolverine Invitational in Holdenville and Okemah ninth Annual cross country meet in the mile race in August and September. Callie is determined to get her 2 mile race time down by finishing 4th overall at Prague. She likes to run and compete against the best.

UNSUNG HEROES

Cheer
Cali Carter – Beggs – She adapts and gives it 100% effort in every situation without seeking any recognition or spotlight. She is an extremely respectful and talented athlete while remaining humble.

Shannan Corkerin – Henryetta – She has come a long way in her two years of cheering. She never seeks praise but strives to do her best.

Jacey Mackey – Morris – She smiles and brings the squad much needed enthusiasm at critical moments. Jacey encourages not only squad members to be their best but
everyone she comes in contact with.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Valentino Rich – Beggs – He is a senior who works out every day, but due to scheduling conflicts and other extracurricular activities, does not go to the meets. He practices daily and encourages the other runners.

Xander Lollis – Henryetta – Xander is a senior who is a two-time state qualifier in Cross-Country and is working to repeat.

Zechariah Tecumseh and Weston Key WilsonHenryetta – Key gives 100% at practices and at meets. He is dedicated to his training as well as taking care of his body to compete at the top. Weston is a threat because of his ability to be consistent with his timing on the course. He also never seeks any recognition for self and is always thinking of his team.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Tessa Bloss – Beggs – Tessa is the kind of athlete every coach would love to have. Although she is just a freshman, she trains hard and has a great attitude.
