3 RIVERS Area Softball MVPs – Presented By Excel Therapy

MVP

Joely Speer – Beggs

Joely is the type of kid that always shows up for her team and coaches. Without being asked, she is always the player that steps up to lead by example and help her teammates in every way that she can. As a senior, she takes the game, her role and her character seriously.

Kaitlyn Searles – Checotah

Kaitlyn is a leader on and off the field. She is a strong first baseman and has committed to Oklahoma Wesleyan next fall to play softball. Kaitlyn is anticipated to be a strong hitter in the upcoming slowpitch season for the Lady Cats.

Talyn Been – Dewar 

Talyn will be a four year starting pitcher for the team. Last year she took pride in the fact that she only walked five people the entire slow-pitch season. She is a great leader and hard worker who always leads by example both on and off the field. She also has a 4.0 GPA and is a part of her churches youth leadership team

Mykah Osborne – Eufaula

Mykah was a big bat in the line-up last year and held it down at first base. Looks to do the same this season. 

Angel Lyons – Fort Gibson

Angel has incredibly quick hands and a ton of power. She’s capable of playing in the outfield as well as the infield. Angel has been a contributor since her freshman year and is one of the most well-liked kids on our team. She’s a tremendous student and will be successful in whatever she chooses.

Madalynn Huskey – Gans 

Madalynn is a great kid! She has played shortstop for us the last couple of years and was in left field before that. She does a great job and is an excellent leader. Madalynn can place hit the ball very well and has some power too. Her attitude and personality are second to none. She is very active in all aspects of our school, including being the FFA chapter president and the cheerleader captain.

Harly Welch – Gore

Harly hits the ball well and has a lot of pop at the plate. She is also solid at third base.

Lynzi Kelley – Haskell 

Lynzi is a junior who has started in fastpitch, slowpitch, and basketball since her freshmen year. She plays shortstop in softball and point guard on the basketball team. She is an exciting player to watch in all three sports. She has all the tools in softball to play at the next and will be a fun player to watch the next couple of years.

Cayleigh McGee – Heavener

Just a sophomore but is our leading hitter coming back from last year’s 30-9 team. She hit .635 with 30 home runs and one of those was a walk-off grand slam in the first round of the state tournament.

Gracie Lute – Howe

One of the better hitters on this year’s team, she will be back in the circle this spring. Looking for a big year out of her.

Avery Miller – Henryetta

Senior Avery Miller is a big time offensive threat for her squad. Her batting average last year was .713, 67 hits, 22 home runs, 82 rbis, and scored 57 times for us. She was walked twenty-two times. She looks to continue her dominance this spring. 

Lilly Chambers – Hulbert

“Ms. Consistent – with her bat and her glove. She has the ability to hit the ball wherever its pitched and take it out of the part. Defensively, she’s a sure handed as it gets and makes the difficult plays look routine at shortstop. Lilly is the player everyone looks up to and is invaluable to the team’s success.

Karsyn York – Muskogee

Karsyn is the player that every coach wants on their team. She is a leader on and off the field. She can play anywhere on the field, finished the fast pitch season with a .612 batting average, is a fast pitch All Stater, all while holding a 4.0GPA. She leads by example in everything she does.

Elaine Berryhill – Okemah

As a freshman, she has already shown great leadership qualities during the fastpitch season that we know will continue in slowpitch. Elaine is a utility player that will jump to fill any position needed. She is a power hitter and aggressive in the field. Her passion for the sport shows with every play.

Jade Whinery – Okmulgee

Jade is a leader on the field and in the classroom. Always willing to help anybody who needs it. She is always looking to help teammates.

Brynn Surmont – Oktaha

Brynn is a great player that is getting some college offers. She can play multiple positions and is a threat offensively. Also, a leader on and off the field and a great teammate.

Kelcee Ward – Panama

All she thinks about is softball! She’s a great leader and will do anything to win games. She will play college softball at NOC. 

Alyssa Parker – Pocola 

Highly recruited girl, only a freshmen , who can hit for power. She’s extremely fast and excellent defensively.

Kate Smith – Preston

A young lady that works really hard everyday. She has speed and can play any position well plus Kate is a team leader. She can bat from both sides of the plate. A very smart kid who is also very coachable.

Madi Mullinax – Roland 

Madi is a three year starter. She plays short stop and leads the team in batting average. Madi is tough and always brings effort and hustle.

Emilee Gregory – Sallisaw

The top hitter in our lineup, her softball IQ allows Emilee the ability to play any position.

Cambry Cook – Stigler

Only a freshman, she led our team in fastpith with five home runs. Hitting in the midd of our slowpitch lineup, Cambry should go yard many times this spring.

Raegen Smith – Stilwell 

Reagan is a senior this year. the best part about Reagan is she always shows up ready to work and get better! She works hard in the weight room and is part of the girls powerlifting team. She is a very solid outfielder and I expect her to be in the top of our lineup this spring, to help lead our offense.

Lexi Hannah – Tahlequah

All State fastpitch shortstop that covers a lot of ground defensively and hits in the leadoff spot.

Greenlee Wells – Vian

She hammered 30 home runs last year while posting a .750 batting average in addition to providing a fielding percentageof .960.  One of the best players I’ve seen and one of the best leaders too.

Kaylen Park – Warner

She’s the best player on the field, at the plate as well as in the locker room.

Brooke Wyatt – Webbers Falls

Brooke will again be one of Webbers Falls leading hitters for slowpitch this Spring. She is also versatile enough to play in multiple positions and Brooke is a natural leader and will do what it takes to bring the best out in her teammates.

Lexi Masters – Westville

She just an athlete, who can do it all in any sport. A quiet leader who leads by example.

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH

Sidney Hamilton – Checotah

Hamilton is a talented player that is continuing to work hard and should make an impact this season. 

Kinsey Maldonado – Dewar 

Kinsey will bring a huge bat to the line up this year. Her ability to play multiple positions will also help the team defensively. She is a hard worker who is willing to do whatever the team needs to be better.

Gabby Noriega – Eufaula

Gabby is a hard worker on the field, in practice, and in the classroom. She is an asset to the team.

Graci Williams – Fort Gibson

Graci is probably the most complete player we have on our team. She pitches on defense and is one of run producers on offense. I think one of the best things about Graci is that we could put her anywhere on the field and she would excel. She has a very competitive personality and isn’t afraid of any moment.

Brianna Burris – Gans 

Brianna is a great kid! As a sophomore she has already set herself apart as a team leader. She played left field last year as a freshman but is capable of playing any position on the field. Her bat is solid with some power. Looking forward to seeing how much more power she will have this season being a year older.

Saylor Brown and Raylin Morgan – Haskell

Both of these girls are sophomores and very good athletes. In fastpitch Saylor was our catcher and Raylin was the pitcher. In slowpitch they will play 1st, 3rd, and outfield. These two will be special to watch the next few years.

Cadi Shoemake – Gore

Cadi has transitioned from being an everyday outfielder into the infield and will play shortstop this season. She swings the bat really well also.

Mariana Garcia – Heavener 

Our sophomore shortstop that played in the state tournament as a freshman and has been putting in extra work in the offseason that will pay off big dividends this spring.

Shelby Kilhoffer – Henryetta

Shelby is a player with big time offensive power. She has tons of power to leave the park and will have tons of hits in the lineup. Shelby is a very versatile player who can play anywhere needed.

Joz Johnson – Howe

One of the best hitters in our fastpitch lineup, we expect the same from her this spring.

Jaye Barnoski – Muskogee

Jaye is the starting shortstop for both fastpitch and slowpitch. She is a freshman with hands and skills like a senior. She will see her knowledge of the game grow. 

Lovie Fixico – Okemah

A freshman, she is a natural on the field, behind the plate, and is a major asset to the team. Lovie plays shortstop and will be transitioning this season to rover. She has a cannon for an arm and a power hitter at the plate. Lovie is focused during practices and strives to become a better player everyday.

Natori Yates – Okmulgee 

Natori will be a bright spot for us as a sophomore. She is learning the shortstop position quickly and has been playing solid. Natori is always wanting to learn and improve.

Payton Bryan – Oktaha

Bryan is a hard nosed, gritty player that will play either third or outfield and has tremendous power at the plate. She is just a sophomore.

Layla Sons – Panama

As sophomore who is already a good leader. She loves the game and will do whatever she’s asked to do to get the win. She plays hurt and never complains.

Bailey Lairamore – Pocola

Well rounded athlete, who can play infield or outfield. She hits for power and average and will play at the next level.

Na’Braijhanae Phillips – Preston

A girl who has tremdous power. A strong athlete, she has a good arm, glove and bat. Only a freshmen, she’ll play third base for us and hit in the top of our lineup. 

Bre Droescher – Roland

Bre can play infield or outfield but will likely be one of our best offensive players. She doesn’t realize her potential but will really play an important role on our team.

Madison Green – Sallisaw

Only a freshman, she has the range to cover both directions at shortstop.

Madi Jones – Stigler

Already a great athlete as a sophomore who enjoys playing in the outfield where she can really go get the ball in hurry, many times taking hits away by making the tough catch.

Avery Knight – Stilwell

Avery started every game for us, as a freshman, on the infield, during the fall fastpitch season. She is a solid defender and is very consistent at the plate. She hit right around .400 in the clean-up spot. We are excited to see Avery grow as a player and a young lady!

Charlea Cochran – Tahlequah

Sophomore second baseman. Very solid defensively. With her first year of slow pitch under her belt, the expectation is for her to really explode offensively this year.

Marie Wells – Vian

A sophomore this season who averaged .500 at the plate last year while doing a good job playing third base.

Peyton Sikes – Warner 

Her offseason work in the weight room has put plenty of pop in her bat that will improve her slugging percentage and her batting average.

Anistyn Garner – Webbers Falls

Anistyn is a second year starter who has great speed in the outfield and will continue to develop her hitting ability this season. 

Avaiah Sanchez – Westville

When it comes to softball, she’s a natural. She definitely understands the game and what it takes to win.

UNSUNG HEROES

Lilly Martin – Checotah

Lilly is a hard worker that does a lot of behind the scenes stuff to help the team.

Breona Harvell – Dewar 

Bre is a freshman who will be a great addition to the team this year. She is strong both offensively and defensively. She helps keep the team grounded and focused when times get tough. She is a solid all around player and great in the classroom as well.

Jordas McClish – Eufaula

McClish is not afraid of hard work and getting dirty. She is always ready to help her team.

Erica Hornback – Fort Gibson

Erica is a multi-tool player who is very important to our team. She sets the table for our offense in the leadoff position and plays 3rd base and shortstop. I expect big things from Erica and I believe we’ll see more power from her this season.

Ulissa Gaona – Gans 

Ulissa is a great kid! A senior this year, she is very quiet, never complains, and does whatever you need her to do. Over the past 3 years she has had to step into many different roles. She has been called into duty to play all 4 outfield positions, second base, and third base. Ulissa will most likely hold down second base this spring. She is dependable and consistent and we’ve been lucky to have her here.

Natalie Casteel – Gore

Natalie is a player that has filled a few different roles for the team in the past. She will pitch a little and play first base this spring.

Makayla Collins – Haskell 

She has always comes through in big situations either on defense or with a nice hit to opposite field to score a big run. Makayla is a senior that has started 4 years for Haskell softball. She has been a very solid outfielder for our program.

Katelynn Dwiggins – Henryetta

Katelynn will pitch for the second year in a row. Kat will also be a base hitter with good speed. Look for her to take the extra base as much as she can. She is a very smart player.

Morgan Smith – Heavener

Our only senior, she has taken leadership of this team. She has the speed to run down fly balls in the outfield and make catches most others can’t. 

Ashlynn Dalton – Howe

Consistency is her middle name, Ashlynn is one of our best outfielder with her everyday efforts.

Kye Carter – Muskogee

Kye is a tremendous freshman that goes above and beyond what is asked of her. She is the first one to the field and the last one to leave. She hustles everywhere she goes! She is not only loved by every single one of her teammates, but by her fellow classmates as well. 

Jordan Otterlifter – Oktaha

Jordan takes great pride in her craft and does a great job of making it difficult to hit for the other team. Looks to have an outstanding senior season.

Dakota Duke – Okemah

Dakota, a freshman, is an all-around tough player. She has a great competitive attitude that leads her performance on the field. Dakota is the first to pick up a teammate and is always willing to help her team in any way she can. Dakota has filled many positions and is always willing to help where needed. All of this makes her a vital asset to the team.

Tori James – Okmulgee

Tori has worked really hard at improving her game. She always tries to make herself better and her teammates better. She has steadily become a leader by example.

Sara Skelton – Panama

She shows up everyday and works 100 percent no matter what. Sara has a great attitude and makes everybody smile.

Kylee Smith – Pocola

Heart and soul of our team, toughest and strongest player on the team, excellent defensive player and our lead off. She will play at the next level.

Jadyn Roberts – Preston

She is one of those great athletes that has speed, a good arm and bat. A junior this year, she just shows up and does her job the right way everyday. 

Kynlei Earnhart – Roland 

Kynlei is unselfish and we ask her to play many different positions. She’s a kid we can stick anywhere, depending on what we need that day and she will do just fine. She does what we ask her to do, works hard, and is a true team player.

Cambree Scott – Sallisaw

Her ability to make the tough catch at the first base bag will make our defense stronger.

Rilee Williams – Stigler

Just a freshman, Rilee does all the little things well that often result in game changing moments while playing in the outfield. 

Katelyn Wilson – Stilwell 

Katelyn is a freshman this year and started every game for us this last fastpitch season. She is a player who will do whatever is asked of her. She played three different positions this last fall. “She is a team first player”! As the lead-off she was second in batting average and tied for first in stolen bases.

Jayley Ray – Tahlequah

Junior third baseman that has volunteered to make the move to pitcher this season to help fill a void. Understands offensive situations and placement of the softball to benefit the team.

Kaydance Cochran – Vian

She totaled 25 RBIs while hitting .500 last season. Where she makes a real difference is with her glove at first base. If it’s close, Kaydance, who is a senior, will get it for the out.

Tyia Fullbright – Warner 

Her steady improvement playing in the outfield will give our team added benefits this year.

Cessna Kimberlin – Webbers Falls

Cessna is returning to pitch this season. Her development will be key for the team this season.
