Howe FFA Spotlight – Presented by Oklahoma AgCredit

Members of the Howe FFA chapter have a passion of making everyday better demonstrated through a variety of community service.

With concern for battling the threat of Covid-19 and other illnesses, chapter members Lindsey Reppen, Jo Doyle, Victoria Sharp, Bre Welch, Mayra Amezcua, Abby Hale and River Cogburn joined together to volunteer at Green Country Cowboy Church in Poteau to clean and sanitize the children’s playrooms. The heartfelt effort included wiping toys and tables with antibacterial wipes, sweeping rooms and then organized the toys and books placing them on the shelves.

The group knows the importance of their efforts. Young children frequently share toys and often place them in their mouths which increases the risk of spreading harmful bacteria.

Helping out with the local residents motivates members to connect with the community and it builds leadership, self-confidence and problem solving skills. Howe FFA encourages everyone to help make a difference in their local community.
