OFFENSE

Head coach Brent Scott is building something special in Okmulgee. From the staff to the players, the program is getting a facelift and the Bulldogs are looking forward to getting a good summer of work in before the start of the season. “We need to have a great summer and we will have a chance to be pretty good here,” said Scott. One player looking to leave his mark on the program is D’Mari Harp (6-4, 200, Sr.). One of several seniors on the team, Harp is a wide receiver/tight end hybrid and a playmaker. Another senior looking to lead this team is Kelton Patterson (6-1, 225, Sr.) at fullback. Patterson brings a linebacker mentality to the backfield. Dwayne Parksarks (6-1, 175, Sr.) and Mallichi Simmons (6-2, 185, Sr.) will carry the rock for the Bulldogs this season giving the team a solid one-two punch out of the backfield. Tucker Smith (6-3, 235, Sr.) and Durante Payne (6-0, 205, Jr.) will anchor the offensive line. Both guys bring good experience to the field. Joseph Robertson is another player to watch on offense. The young quarterback has a tremendous ceiling and coach Scott believes he could become a college-type athlete before his time is up at Okmulgee.

DEFENSE

The Bulldogs will base in a 3-4 scheme giving guys like Harp the freedom to make plays from his outside linebacker spot. Harp is a next-level type player and someone to watch this season. Patterson is another linebacker the Bulldogs will lean on for big plays this season. Wilson White (5-10, 165, Jr.) will start at free safety giving the secondary an experienced and talented cover man. Darin Miles (6-1, 170, Jr.) starts in the secondary as well adding more speed and coverage ability to the unit. Calip Harjo (6-2, 245, Jr.) will have a big presence on the defensive line while Jorden Bolden (6-1, 200, So.) is a young and talented linebacker the coaching staff is excited to see develop.
