Three Rivers Basketball Players to Watch – Presented by Neighbors Building Neighborhoods

Karl Garrett – Fort Gibson A good player and a better kid. He will be a key player for the Tigers this season. 

Bryce Morrison – Heavener Bryce is a junior 6-foot guard who is a sharpshooter. He has a high motor and gives great effort. He was the team’s sixth man of the year last year and will probably be a starter this year. 

Kobe Wooten – Howe Kobe is a returning starter and the leading returning scorer. Attacks the basket very hard and is a consistent perimeter threat. 

Kris Glenn – Hulbert Kris is the glue of the team, he is a quiet guy but works his tail off. He is expected to play a bigger role this season. 

Trent Nichols – Keys Trenton is a crafty ball-handler with a scorers mentality. He has range from the three-point line and the ability to get to the basket and be strong enough to finish through contact. 

Zane Cooper – McCurtain Zane puts out max effort on both ends of the court. Others get better looks just from his movements. Great kid on and off the court. He is ready to take the stage that is ahead of him this year. 

Cody Smith – Morris Cody will be a big key to the team’s success this year. He will score from inside and outside as well as have the assignment of containing the other teams’ better players. 

Deon Wilkerson – Muskogee Has the ability to secure the defensive rebound, initiate the fast break in open court, advance the ball and or decide to go coast to coast, shoot the midrange or possibly knock down the three-point shot. Has the ability to post, mid-post, or face the bucket and score the basketball. He is looking to have a big season. 

Chase Clark – Okay Just a freshman, Clark will be a valuable addition to the Mustangs this season. 

Nash Smith – Okemah Nash is the engine that runs this team, even though he is only a sophomore. He can create shots for his teammates or for himself. He is able to get in the lane and cause trouble for the defense. His speed makes him hard to guard and a menace on defense. He should have a big season. 

Grant Edwards – Oktaha After missing most of last season due to an injury, Edwards is a good shooter and can really fill it up. He is a great kid on and off the court 

Zach Bell – Panama He is a hard worker that has fallen in love with basketball. He has put in all the work that a coach can ask for this season. He sets a positive example for the other players. 

Dakota Terrell – Pocola Dakota continues to develop into a very nice basketball player that has the potential to become a very high-level player. While still growing, the 6-foot-6 sophomore can score from anywhere on the floor and defends very well due to his length, athleticism, and competitiveness. Dakota will continue to develop as the season progresses and will be a tough matchup for opponents. 

Cooper Franklin – Porum Cooper plays both sides of the ball with intensity. He is a terrific post player with good hands and good vision. He communicates well on the floor which helps to create opportunities for himself as well as his teammates. 

Davhon Hall – Roland He is a fast, quick, and athletic floor general that has a lot of potential. 

Sim Kilpatrick, Parker Jackson, and Jackson Obregon – Sallisaw These three seniors play an equal part and the team will need them to make a big impact this year. They came a long way this summer as far as being leaders of this young team. 

Zander Riggs – Spiro He is a very tough player that does all the things you need done. He is very unselfish and very competitive. He sees things that other players do not see and he is an excellent passer. He can guard any spot and he rebounds very well. 

Antonio Wolf – Stilwell Wolf has steadily improved over the last three years. He is a great passer and his shot has improved immensely. The entire team looks up to him and he makes the team better with his presence. He doesn’t say much, but when he does they listen. 

Cale Matlock – Tahlequah Cale is a versatile forward that is capable of making an impact on the game in many ways. He will be asked to handle the ball some, guard high-scoring wings, and score for as a senior with two years of experience. 

Brody Young – Tahlequah Sequoyah Brody is an outstanding athlete on the floor with his skill set and his effort is always 100%. He isn’t the most vocal player, but he is a coachable, team-first player. 

Diego Ramos – Vian He plays multiple sports at Vian but no matter what sport he is playing, he is an outstanding athlete and a hard worker. 

JaShawn Davison – Wagoner He is the ultimate gym rat, spending countless hours shooting the ball and honing his game. As a freshman, he had a 35 percent three-pointer average coming off the bench. He develops his game in the summer by playing competitive basketball. 

Blake Ellis – Warner He continues to improve his game and coaches are expecting some exciting basketball from him this year. He is becoming a player to watch inside and out on offense. 

Kalen Putman – Weleetka Kalen is a great kid and a hard-working senior. He does a great job of getting along with everyone on the team. 

Cale Jacob – Westville He is quick, a great shooter, and can get to the rim. 

Collin Wharton – Wilson Collin is a guy that most likely will not ever lead the team any one category, but when he is at his best, the team is at their best. He is an excellent passer with great vision, he does a good job of making people around him better. He has grown into a leadership role and will most likely be the most vocal leader on the floor 

Charles Shelburn – Wilson-Henryetta As a freshman last season, he averaged 13 points per game and he had a great off season. With the ability to lead and another year of maturity look for all his numbers to make a jump this season.
