Jackson Clubb, the senior starting quarterback and defensive back at Heavener High School, has established himself as a pivotal player and leader on the field. With impressive stats and unwavering dedication, he’s a force to be reckoned with.
When asked about his favorite coach, Clubb didn’t hesitate to mention his dad. “He’s always pushed me on and off the field,” Clubb said.
Beyond the football field, the influence of educators can’t be overlooked. Coach Wilson, in an unconventional role, made a difference: “He taught me how to drive,” Clubb said.
Athletes understand the importance of preparation, and Clubb and his team have been hitting the weight room hard this offseason. “The weight room, we as a team really hit the weight room hard,” he said.
Football is not just a game; it’s a field of learning opportunities. “It’s taught me how to deal with adversity,” Clubb said.
Clubb’s favorite memory in football is a testament to his commitment and the team’s hard work: “Most definitely when we got our first win in two years last year over Hartshorne.”
As he approaches his senior season, Clubb has ambitious goals. “I hope to make the playoffs and win a game in the postseason.” His determination to lead his team to success is evident.
When asked about the matchup he’s most looking forward to, Clubb mentioned the Spiro Bulldogs. It’s clear that this game carries special significance, and he’s ready to give it his all.
Looking beyond high school, Clubb has his sights set on a future in sports and coaching. “I hope to go play baseball and football at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and get my degree to be a coach!” His passion for the game and leadership qualities makes this a path he will excel in.
