Hi, what are you looking for?

Poteau

Q&A with Poteau’s Emma Walker – Presented by Century 21 – Amy Hall

VYPE: What goals do you have for this year?
Emma: To be the best I can for the team.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Emma: Communication is important on and off the field. It has also taught me to work for what I want in everyday life.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Emma: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Odom from 1st grade, because she’s a teacher I can trust and open up to. She’s always treated me like her own.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Emma: My old travel ball coach. He’s had a big impact on my life helping me to become the player I am today.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Emma: Emery Loman. Since the first day of my freshman year she has been by my side. I’m so grateful that I was able to come in as a freshman and know I had an upperclassman to teach me and work with me.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Emma: My favorite part of being on this team is the team itself. I love having fun and playing with these girls.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Emma: The best athlete would be my papa Wayne. He played D1 football for OU. Everytime I go over there he always has a story to tell about his days playing college ball!

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
Emma: One sport I wished I played is probably basketball. I used to play basketball but I quit for softball. I really miss it but I don’t regret my decision.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
Emma: “Yes indeed” It’s my walk up song and it hypes me up every at bat.
