Boys

Landon Thurman – Heavener

The 6’7” junior is long and shoots the three very well.

Ky Lynn – Howe

Really showed what he is capable of during the playoffs last year, and was a key to the team’s success defensively. Worked hard to improve his offensive abilities over the summer.

Brandon Labor – McCurtain

Brandon is a strong player that cleans up everyone’s mess. He works hard on both ends and is a great leader for the others.

Trenden Collins – Muldrow

Trenden Collins is an athletic two way player that is capable of making an impact on both sides of the ball.

Bryce Tackett – Panama

Tackett is a hard working kid that does everything to help the team.

Tre Elam – Pocola

Tre is the team leader and an outstanding player.

Dean Odom – Poteau

He is a great leader, hard worker, and a tremendous competitor

Tuvaris noonan – Roland

Very athletic, has good handles, and has great ability in getting to rim and being strong with ball 

Ty McHenry – Sallisaw

Ty averaged 13.7 points and 9.3 rebounds last year after a slow start to the season; he has the potential to increase those numbers big time this season.

Girls

Riley Cheek – Central Sallisaw

An experienced player that has played meaningful minutes since her freshman year. She looks to have a really strong senior season.

Milaya Riddley – Heavener

Milaya has averaged double digits her entire career and on any given night can get 20-30.

Shiloh Fletcher – Howe

Very quick point guard who has become a great combination guard with great range.

Idaysia Mills – McCurtain

A strong, athletic, and intelligent player

Kennedi Wight – Muldrow

Kiki is a solid all-around player. She has good size for a guard and handles the ball well. She started as a freshman and is expected to have a big season.

Hailey Blair – Panama

Great all-around player that makes a huge difference for her team on both ends of the court.

Mika Scott – Pocola

Mika has been a key player and starter for four years and has committed to Northeastern State University. She is not only a good basketball player, she is even a better kid. 

Brooklyn Garner – Poteau

Raw athletic ability, with good quickness and a good vertical.

Racheal Watie – Roland

Watie is an outstanding player on a solid team. The team will go as she does. 

Cristina Laudan – Sallisaw

Cristina is a small forward who is a raw athlete with a tremendous upside. She has put in countless hours in the off-season to become an inside/outside type of player. 

Lily Blankenship – Spiro

Lily is a great teammate and an even better athlete. Expect to see her role increase this season.

Unsung Heroes

Basketball

Boys

Nick Lopez – Heavener

Lopez is a post player that will play a big role in his team’s success this season.

Jorge Martinez – Howe

Does all the dirty work. Plays hard on defense, always has a positive attitude, and taking charges is his favorite thing to do.

Clayne Honeycutt – McCurtain

Clayne finds a way to get into the play. Strong defender and good finisher. He makes the team better every possession.

Jace Hall – Poteau

Guards multiple positions, motor never stops, and scores more than people realize

Rylee Scavo – Sallisaw

While Scavo may not have all the best stats on the stat sheet, he does a lot of things that do not show up on the sheet. A key player for the team.

Girls

Madisyn Parish – Central Sallisaw

Madisyn accepts whatever role is asked of her and will try to perform it to the best of her ability.

Brooklyn May – Heavener

Brooklyn will do whatever you ask of her. It’s all about the team to her.

Maddie Ramsey – Howe

Maddie has been instrumental in Howe’s success over the past few seasons and she has done so while coming off the bench. Look for her to step it up even more this year.

Brooklyn Vails – McCurtain

She takes a lot of pride in her defense.

Chyanne Brickell – Poteau

Always going to be at practice, ready to work hard, with a smile and good attitude.

Underclassmen to Watch

Basketball

Boys

Canyon Ford – Heavener

Left handed freshman guard that has a bright future.

Garrett Smith – Howe

Promising young freshman point guard with the ability to really contribute to the team’s success this season.

Luke Sandlin – McCurtain

Luke plays hard and has a good touch. Tough competitor on both ends.

Wyatt Gamble – Poteau

Young extremely athletic kid with tremendous upside.

Cooper Jackson – Sallisaw

Cooper is an outstanding athlete that is a great player on the court. Should be an asset to the team this season.

Girls

Avery Warner – Central Sallisaw

A quick and aggressive guard. She gained some experience last season as a freshman. She is  expecting to take on a much bigger role this season.

Ava Cartwright – Heavener

Ava has improved tremendously since her freshman year last season. Looking for her to be a big contributor to this year’s team.

Karsyn Nye – Howe

Karsyn made a jump toward the end of the season of her Freshman year and she enters this season with a lot of potential.

Jerica Baker – McCurtain

Baker looks to make an impact this season. She is an outstanding freshman with some quickness and athleticism.

Annika Dill – Poteau

Annika has the potential to be a big time scorer this season.
