Spiro Bulldogs 2023 Basketball Preview Presented by Wright’s Sunset Corner

Brycen Graham

SPIRO BULLDOGS

BOYS

Coach: Dustin Gist

22-23 Record: 8-18

Starting his 20th year as the head coach of the Bulldogs, coach Dustin Gist says he is looking for more consistency from his returning players in 2023. “We have a great group of guys that play hard until the final horn. If we can become more consistent with our scoring, we should be very competitive.” Leading that group of hard workers is Brycen Graham (6-5, Jr.), A VYPE Top 100 selection, who averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds a game for Spiro last year.

“Brycen is a very good player who does a great job on both ends of the floor,” said Gist. “He can score inside and out, and he is an excellent passer.” The Bulldogs will look for leadership from returning seniors Coy Clark, and Bryson Spears who averaged four and six points a game respectively last year along with Hunter Sparks. “Bryson plays hard and works hard to improve his game,” said Gist. “He never quits and never backs down. He is willing to do whatever he needs to do to help the team.” The rest of the main roster will be filled out by juniors Shawn Hogan (6-2) and Davis Carter (6-0).
