When Brylee Birchfield was in the 8 th grade, she made the decision to join the FFA chapter at Hulbert High School. FFA was a program Birchfield was very familiar with as a junior high student.
“FFA has always been something my family has done so my family really encouraged me to join as well,” said Birchfield.
Now a junior in high school, Birchfield has made the most of every opportunity FFA has to offer its members.
“I enjoy all the opportunities that I am allowed to experience that I wouldn’t be able to
experience otherwise. I do a little bit of everything from showing to dairy judging as well as being on the officer team for that last two years. I show pigs right now I am showing a Hereford gilt,” said Birchfield.
Birchfield also plays volleyball for Hulbert HS and said she loves being on the court with her teammates.
“I love that my team always has each other’s back on the court no matter what,” said
Birchfield.
Birchfield said being in FFA is one of the best things she has done in high school.
She also said her great grandfather has been a big influence in her life. “The person who has been the biggest influence is my great grandfather, he has the best work ethic I have ever seen, and he is always there when I need him, he encourages me to be who I want to be and pushes me to do my best in everything I decide to do,” said Birchfield.
After high school, Birchfield hopes to attend college for Agriculture Education at Oklahoma State University.
