By CHANCE BURK

To live a happy, successful life you have to love what you do. For Chase Jones, golf is his love.

Chase Jones is a freshman at Keys High School. He is a part of the golf and basketball teams at his high school. He also loves hunting and fishing. Golf is where he finds the most success, and where he feels the most at home.

Chase enjoys golf because he has built a love for the sport over his life and because of the challenges it brings, “The challenge of the courses and knowing that you can’t be perfect makes me want to keep going,” he said. Golf is one of the many sports that require a lot of hard work and dedication to succeed.

Chase’s love for golf makes it easy for him to fully dedicate himself. “I try to play 2-3 hours a day during the school year and 4-5 hours during the summer,” said Chase. He wants to continue playing and eventually make a career out of it.

In the future, Chase wants to play in college and take his golf career as far as he possibly can. “My career goals are to go to a D1 college for golf and hopefully make it to the professional side of golf,” said Chase. His role models are Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler. He hopes to follow in their footsteps and become one of the best and most popular golfers in the world.

One of the many reasons for Chase’s success is family. “My mom, dad, brother, grandparents, and cousin push me to do better, and provide for me to help me be better,” said Riley. He has a very loving and supportive family that believes in his dreams just as much as him.

As Chase gradually improves through high school and whatever comes after, he plans to use the hard work and dedication that golf has shown him. Not only will he use those qualities to succeed in golf, but he will also use them to succeed in life.
