STILWELL GIRL WRESTLERS CLAIM GOLD AND SILVER AT THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS – Presented by Mountain View Meats

Third time is the charm…as Stilwell juniors Josaline Blevins and Adrianna Chronister made the best of their final competition on the wrestling mat with medal round performances at the OSSAA Class 5A state championships. Wrestling in the 120-pound division, Blevins recorded the pin at 1:18 mark of the championship match against Rosaline Baker of Mannford to step to the top of the medal stand. The gold medal victory gave Blevins a final record of 33-3.

Adrianna Chronister

Chronister, like Blevins a three time state qualifier, recorded a pair of pins in the first two matches to reach the gold medal round of the 135-pound bracket before dropping a 6-1 setback to Gage Vaughn of Caddo in the championship round. The silver medal finish leaves Chronister with a 30-6 mark this year.

Congratulations to Josaline and Adrianna and their coaches Chris Henry, Bonnie Jobe and Matt Stilwell.
