VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Jersey: My goal for this season is to take it one game at a time and focus on what needs to get done at that moment. Another goal would be for me to be a good teammate as my teammates are to me by being there for them and encouraging them. With this being said, I would also say that a goal that we would all want would be to host and win home regionals and end up getting some bling!!

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Jersey: What my sport has taught me in my daily life is that you have to be able to let things go or that you are always fighting for your spot. No matter what you are doing, you should always do it to your best ability.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Jersey: My favorite teacher was my honors Algebra 2 teacher, Mrs. Veith. She made learning fun but also effective, and I knew that if I ever struggled with anything she was there to help.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Jersey: My mom is a person that inspires me. She is very independent and strong minded. She is always up for a challenge, and when she fails, she doesn’t back down. I’m inspired to be more like her everyday because she never gives up.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Jersey: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me would be Kori Rainwater. She is such a great team player and also a great individual player, and I look up to her.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Jersey: My favorite part about being on a team is that I have people to trust when I need something or someone to talk to, on or off the court.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Jersey: If I could choose any place for summer vacation I would pick anywhere that is by a beach and the sun is out! I would take Paisley Qualls, Madi Matthews, and My mom, Angie Retzloff.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Jersey: I am passionate about my sport because I have such a love for it that I can’t explain. I’ve grown up playing all my life. I love working with others to reach goals while enjoying the moments that we all spend together. Basketball can bring people together and be exciting all at the same time.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Jersey: Just want to say a huge thank you to my Mom and Dad, Angie and Geno Retzloff, for always believing in me and pushing me to be the best I can be. Another thank you would go out to my grandparents for always making a drive over an hour and a half every game day to support me. And at last, thank you to my teammates and coaches for sticking with me and encouraging me everyday.
