The Yellowjackets who were one win away from earning a possible ticket to the Class 3A dance last year must reload their lineup for the 2023-24 season as after graduation left only one starter, Adian Auffet (6-0, Sr.) to return to coach Ron Dunaway’s lineup. 

Although the group is young, the highly anticipated contributions of six juniors including Brock Hammer (6-0, Jr.), Uriah Sanchez (5-11, Jr.), Adon Singleterry (5-10, Jr.), Gage Jacob (5-11, Jr.), Alex Unger and Kennan Killer as well as sophomore Lawson Meridith will be asked by Dunaway to fill the void left by graduation. “This is going to be a fun group to coach,” said Dunaway. “We’ve still got some kids who can really shoot the ball with consistency. I’m confident that when the ball goes in the air, these kids will still compete to win.”
