Keys’ Kylie Forrest – FFA Spotlight – Presented by OK Ag Credit

Keys High School softball player Kylie Forrest first joined the FFA in her first year of high school. As a freshman, Forrest knew she wanted to be part of FFA after spending several years in the 4-H Club.

“I became an official member of FFA my freshman year of high school, before that I was an active member of 4-H from around the age of seven threw my eighth-grade year of school,” said Forrest. “My family and my love for animals is what encouraged me to become involved in 4-H and FFA.”

For Forrest, there are many things she enjoys about FFA. She gets the most enjoyment from the people she can meet from across Oklahoma.

“The thing I enjoy most about being in FFA would be the people that I get to meet as well as the many different lessons both FFA and the people I’ve met have thought me,” Forrest said. “I am involved in showing livestock, the AFR speech contest as well as some other speech contests, also a new thing is a vet science competition. I also entered a flower arrangement in the Tulsa State Fair.”
Forrest currently shows her sheep, but in the past, she has shown pigs, cattle, and a goat.

A member of the varsity softball team, Forrest said she loves competing with her teammates and representing her school in FFA and softball.

“My favorite memories as a student-athlete would have to be the bus rides to away games they are always so fun and hype,” Forrest said. “The thing that I love the most about being on the softball team would be all the memories I get to make with my teammates and my coaches. I am in involved in softball, FFA, student council, golf, and sometimes compete in Academic meets, as well as attend many leadership conferences.”
