Coach: Denise Gray

21-22 Record 8-16

The Lady Demons return two starters who will anchor the attack for Beggs. Jasey Pruitt (6-0, Sr.) started for the first time last year and played in the middle but coach Denise Gray plans to move her to the wing this year. “She’s really intimidating on defense with her size and I’m hoping she can develop a reliable outside shot to help us on offense. “Payton Crook (5-8, Sr.) will play the two guard spot and defense has also been her strength thus far.

“Payton is a hard worker with great character and does everything we ask of her. She always guards the other teams’ best player, “said Gray. The third senior on the squad is Alyssa Antwine (5-8) who saw some playing time last year and if she doesn’t start will be the first off the bench for Beggs. One of the priorities for Gray and her staff will be finding a new point guard and that may fall on sophomore Bleu Hall or freshman Mylah Williams.

“Bleu is tough. She’s a rodeo girl and a real work horse. She’s probably our most athletic player and she’ll play the four-spot if not point guard. Mylah is fast and shoots the three really well and plays solid defense but will have to adapt quickly to the high school game. I think she’ll end up being a good one,” said Gray
