OFFENSE

With six returning starters on offense head coach Jeremy Thompson should have the nucleus he needs to make this a season to remember. Several sophomores will start this season including Joseph Lee (6-1, 175, So.) at quarterback. One of the go-to targets in the spread offense is receiver Cade Tucker (5-8, 160, So.). The offensive line may be the strength of the team with two returning players in Gage Wing (6-0, 250, Sr.) and Tyler Busch (5-11, 230, So.). Running back Chaysten Daws (5-10, 170, Sr.) will benefit from having an experienced line up front. Look for Daws to have a big year. Anthony Buchanan (5-10, 160, Jr.) can play multiple positions including quarterback and wide receiver. Having a versatile athlete on the roster will help keep opposing defenses off balance.

DEFENSE

Like the offense, six starters return to the lineup on defense. The secondary features Coda Crittenden (5-8, 140, Jr.) and Coy Blackburn (5-8, 140, So.). Both guys are solid against the pass. Josh Marino (6-0, 200, So.) is one of a trio of linebackers looking to disrupt and cause havoc on the field. Coy Clifton (5-11, 185, Sr.) and Ethan Renfro (5-11, 170, Sr.) make up a talented group of linebackers for the Tigers. Isacc Rogers (6-1, 200, So.) is a long defensive end who is quick off the ball. “We are a 4-2-5 defense and play a lot of man coverage,” said Thompson. “We run very well defensively.”
