OFFENSE

The Porum Panthers come into the 2021 season ready to get back to “normal”, after falling to 2-9 last season. Both the offense and defense have the majority of their starters returning, with many players being standouts on both sides of the ball. Kolby Brown (5-10, 205, Sr.) will line up at running back for the Panthers again, a position he has started at since he was a freshman. Ronnie Brown (5-11, 210, Sr.) will share snaps with him at running back, using his versatility of strength and quickness to tear defenses apart. At quarterback is Seth Brown (6-1, 150, Jr.), who the coaching staff has high expectations for after a successful sophomore season and his drive to get better every day in the offseason. The Panthers will also bring back two experienced and talented receivers in Jacob Tallon (5-10, 145, Sr.) and Kade Womack (5-8, 135, Sr.). Playing on the offensive line is returning starter Kevin Barnes (5-10, 305, Jr.). With a lot of experience returning to the field for the Panthers, they have the opportunity to make massive steps in the right direction.

DEFENSE

Struggling with numbers means that most players will play both sides of the ball, and that’s the case for Porum. R. Brown will start at a familiar territory, defensive end. K. Brown and Austin McCarter (5-11, 155, Jr.) will return to the linebacker position. Expect big things from the Panther’s secondary, with Womack returning to corner and Tallon returning to the safety position. And on the defensive line is Barnes, who is well known at the nose guard position.
