Panama Razorbacks Girls Basketball Preview – Presented by Wright’s Sunset Corner

GIRLS
Coach: Victor Pierce
21-22 Record: 12-14

The Lady ‘Backs enter the 2022-23 season with experience and confidence in their skills as three starters return from last year’s team that reached the Class 2A area tournament as the foundation for success.

Hailey Blair (5-6, G, Sr.) enters her third season in the starting lineup averaging double digits for her career and Lexi Bell (5-9, F, So.) who delivered consistent rebounding results plus an offensive spark last year as a freshman will reunite with Krista Dotson (5-3, G, Sr.), described by coaches as the glue that holds the team together.

“Those three give us experience in the clutch and with our roster including
great length and the ability to play hard on both ends of the court, we have an opportunity to make a deep run in the playoffs,” said head coach Victor Pierce, who enters his fourth season at the LeFlore county school, a hotbed for competition and talent in girls basketball.

Adding to the quality of play will be Karlie Anderson (6-0, F, So.) and Sky Bluford (5-4, G, Fr.), who Panama coaches anticipate to make an immediate impact, Hannah Enkoff (5-6, F, Sr), Alyssa Yoakum (5-3, G, Sr.), Madison Dalmut (5-7, G, Jr.), Natalee Heflin (5-6, G, Jr.) along with another four sophomores including Hayli Fox (5-9, F, So.), Koda Robbins (5-11, F, So.) Ryleigh Pierce (5-5, G, So.) and Madison Moniz (5-5, G, So.).

The development of five more freshmen including Alexis Smith (5-5, G, Fr.), Jadyn Yoakum (5-4, G, Fr.), Hayven Hoffman (5-7, F, Fr.), Ariana Loggains (5-7, G/F, Fr.) and Gunny Sons (5-6, G, Fr.) will provide more depth off the bench.
