Q&A with Tahlequah’s Adison Steely – Presented by Junie’s Closet

VYPE recently interviewed Tahlequah tennis player Adison Steely to learn more about her.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My personal goals for the year are to attend Oklahoma State University in the fall and to be very involved and successful.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

The most fun I’ve had in the past year was going on a cruise to Mexico.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

My favorite teacher is Ms. Freymuth because she always has the most positive energy and is fun to be around.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory is qualifying and placing at state and being academic state champions.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate who has left the biggest impression is Mikah Vann. We have been best friends all through high school so we got along very well on the court and worked very well together.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part about being on the team is spending all the time with my teammates. They always make me smile and there is never a dull moment with them.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

If I could go on any vacation I would go to the Bahamas and take my mom and a couple friends.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

I have volunteered for the MyClean Tahlequah helping to clean up the welcome signs. I have also volunteered for the Cherokee Nation angel tree project, and many other projects.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I’m involved in volleyball and tennis because I love playing sports. I am also involved in FFA because agriculture has always been apart of my life.

VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?

I’m involved in National Honors Society and Oklahoma Indian National Honor Society.
