Westville Lady ‘Jackets 2023 Basketball Preview Presented by Mountain View Meats

GIRLS

Coach: Bobbi Jo Eagleton

22-23 Record: 2-20

With all five starters returning along with a supporting cast of players with game time experience, the swarm of the Lady ‘Jackets is ready to take flight.

Coach Bobbi Jo Eagleton is eager to take the floor with a veteran group. “I am excited for this season because we have all of our starters back and my underclassman got a lot of playing time last year,” said Eagleton. “I definitely expect us to win more games and compete at a higher level of play.” A trio of seniors including Mandy Kiddy (5-8, Sr.), Kylie Tye (5-5, Sr.) and Lexi Masters (5-9, Sr.) will be called upon by Eagleton for senior leadership for this year’s lineup. Kaleigh Carte (5-6, So.), who led the Lady ‘Jackets in scoring last season and Lakelynn Bigby (5-4, So.) will take the hardwood floor with an aggressive group including Emilee Woodward (5-5, So.), Alondra Pedraza (5-4, Jr.) and Jenna Williams (5-10, Jr.), a player that Eagleton describes as a coach on the floor competitor. “By comparison to most teams, we’re still a young squad but we’re a more experienced team after so many of the young kids played a lot of minutes last year.”
